July Reveal

Hi there!

I was so fortunate to be give the Splash collection by Little Yellow Bicycle from the ladies of ScrapMuch? this month.  I loved it when we saw and ordered it at CHA last January.  And now that it is hitting the store's shelves.... I love it even more!  It is an amazing collection to work with and the colours are perfect for all kinds of summer fun activities!

These are the items I received in my design kit ......

.... and there are many more fabulous products available for this collections, too!

Check out what I created....

I chose to use this collection to start scrapping my photos from a trip to Cuba, that iItook with my family.  There are a few embellishments that specifically say summer, so I just tucked those aside for when I am scrapping an actual summer page.  But so many embellies work perfectly for this travel page, too.  Once I started working with this line, I didn't stop... I made 4 layouts and a card in one day!

I printed my photos out 2 per 4x6 sheet, I love the look of them all lined up in a sequence to show my little guy jumping waves.

I used two patterns as my base, cutting the top one down to 11 x 11.
To create my title, I cut out the word 'jump' from the 11 x 11 base page, when layered over the other paper the colour shows through.  I love the look of this and will definitely be doing it again.  To achieve this look I laid out my photos and embellishments where I thought they should go and then measured down and across to where my title would sit.

Then I ran a scrap piece of paper through my Cricut, to make sure it was going to cut where I wanted it to.  I laid this scrap over top of my layout as it was so that I could just double check placement.  Then being happy with the layout I cut the title out of my patterned paper.  It worked perfectly and was only slightly stressful, as this my first time doing this!
I love these vellum tapes that coordinate with this line... they are super fun and easy to work with.  The colours are great and they have great stickiness.  I actually enjoyed them more than washi tape... but don't tell as I am pretty certain washi lovers wouldn't want to hear it! lol
The package of paper flowers, comes with a huge variety of styles, colours and sizes.
 The embellishments are just perfect!

Next, I created this 'dolphin kiss' layout.  This was such a fun day, truly a memory of a lifetime.  I wanted to be sure to scrap it as the happy and vibrant day it was.  My little guy was beyond thrilled to get to touch and play with a dolphin, never-mind get kissed.

This background paper with splashes of pattern and loads of white space was just perfect for these photos.
I cut lots of paper banners, used a rounded chipboard banner and loads of flowers to create a great cluster with lots of dimension.
Another type of flower... there were so many to love!
These banners were in the package of flowers, I thought they would make great journal strips.  The blue flower came with the chipboard stickers.
I used some vellum tape to anchor my title.  These alphas are from my own stash.

For this 'snorkel' page, I wanted to create two little layouts on one base page., featuring my little guy in his snorkel gear and then a couple of still shots taken from an underwater video that I made.  We had such fun snorkeling, I would love to do it again.
Flowers, leaves, sunshine and banners, perfect!
 Beautiful flower colours.
I cut my title on my Cricut and ran it through my sewing machine after adhering it in place.
Aren't these chipboard fish and the seahorse darling!  And oh so perfect for my underwater page!
 More sweet vellum tape.... love!

I hate having my photo taken, and seeing these photos after our trip definitely jump started my new healthy eating plan!  But non the less, I am glad that I have them and I am thankful for friends that insisted I get on the other side of the camera!  Otherwise, I might not have known I was there!
Beautiful flowers from the kit and alphas from my stash.
More vellum tape, there are just so many sweet patterns!
Love this fan fold flower and little chipboard sign.
Aren't these little swim suits so darling, perfect for this layout of me and my sweetie!

I couldn't resist making this cute his and hers flip flop card.
I just printed this sentiment out on my printer in a coordinating colour!  I would love to give this my sweetie on a special day!

I can already tell that this will be a very popular collection, I recommend getting yours while it lasts.  Little Yellow Bicycle is known for not reprinting a collection so one it's gone it's gone!   I have a little bit left that I am looking forward to playing with!

Thank you for visiting  today and checking out what I have been creating!
